The WMN Process

So… once you’ve brain dumped all your thoughts onto paper, now is the time to create order from chaos with the WMN Process… What Matters Now?

Some things might be business, some might be health, some might be family stuff etc, so make separate lists for each category.

At this stage I suggest using Evernote. Or a spreadsheet. Or even Xmind. Just get it saved on a computer. Or the cloud.

This is going to be your master list. This means you won’t get stressed about having to remember a ton of things, because you know they’re all stored safely.

Now you’re going to prioritize the items

Don’t try to put a gazillion items in order of importance. That way lies madness! Lol!

Try numbering each one with a priority of 1, 2, 3, or 4, where 1 is urgent and 4 is way off future… Look! There’s a spaceship! πŸ˜‰

Once you’ve done that, go back through each list and look at the items categorized with a 1. Ignore the rest. You can worry about those some other time.

Pick out What Matters Now

These are the things that absolutely must be done today (or tomorrow if you’re super organized and doing this the night before).

Don’t pick too many – you’ll only get overwhelmed and get nothing done. I recommend picking no more than 3-5, depending on the length of the task and the time available. You want it to be manageable.

Then write them on a Post-It note and stick it somewhere prominent.

Preferably not on your hand πŸ˜‰

Use a different post-it note for each Category or it will start to look overwhelming.

Then work through your list one by one…

Imagine how good it will feel as each item gets crossed off and when everything is crossed off at the end of the day…

Go on, imagine…

See? πŸ™‚

The What Matters Now Process will stop you procrastinating because you know exactly what you should be doing at any given time.

You will start to…

Get Things Done…

And you know what that means don’t you?

You will start moving forwards with your business and start actually bringing in some dosh! πŸ™‚
